There are more than 100 golf courses in the Czech Republic. Most popular golf resorts are situated around the capital of Prague, near bigger towns and in spa resorts. The history of Czech golf dates back the early 20th century (1904) when the first golf course was built in the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary. Amazing golf "boom" came to the Czech Republic at the dawn of the 21st century and golf became quite popular sport.
Min. HCP 54 is usually required but there are also public courses available for begginers. Green fee (18 holes) is from 20 EUR to 120 EUR. Best rates are usually from Monday to Wednesday. Weekends are most expensive.
